Vibrant walk through Vienna’s history

More than knowing important episodes of Viennese history, the tourist who participates in “Time Travel Vienna” feels like a true eyewitness to the city’s history. It is a virtual trip, divided into eight stops, in an area of 1,300 m² on the Vienna metro.

The journey begins in a 5D cinema that takes visitors back to Vienna’s Roman era. The program also includes the Black Death in Vienna, with plagues of rats, and the second Turkish siege of Vienna in 1683.

Emperor Maximilian I., Franz Joseph and his Sisi, as well as Maria Theresia (in the form of animatronic figures) are the stars of the “Habsburg Show”, which looks back on the family’s history.

Vacinação combina com doação

In the “Ballroom”, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss exchange verbal blows. Carousels and waltz music provide a festive atmosphere.

Other themes include the two world wars and the signing of the State Treaty on May 15, 1955. It ends with an interactive carriage ride through Vienna. The carriage “flies” and rides over the Imperial Palace, the Stadtpark, the State Opera, Schönbrunn and the Prater.

Time travel takes about 50 minutes through the virtual world. The show is in German. Special audio guides provide a simultaneous translation of the tour guides, as well as the texts of the program and the film (10 languages to choose from).
